Survive the worst hurricane of the decade in Porto Alegre, Brazil

Tuesday’s storm was one of the strongest in recent history in Porto Alegre, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. Wind gusts of almost 120 km/h were recorded. The storm knocked down several trees, downed power lines, and damaged the roofs of houses. In just an hour, 60 to 70 mm of rain fell in different parts of the city. Several locations also recorded strong wind gusts ranging from 80 to over 100 mph. This event was compared to severe weather events in October 2015 and January 2016. Just like today, El Niño was very strong in those years. #RiodeJaneiro #cyclone #rain #brazil #flood #wind #riograndedosul #earthquake #weather #disasters #storm #news #hurricane #PortoAlegre The channel lists natural disasters such as: 1) Emergency geological situations: earthquake, volcanic eruption, mud, landslide, landslide, avalanche; 2) Emergency hydrological situations: flood, tsunami, limnological disaster, flood, flood; 3) Fires: forest fire, peat fire; 4) Meteorological emergencies: Tornado, Cyclone, Blizzard, Hail, Drought, Tornado, Hail, Hurricane, Tsunami, Storm, Thunderstorm, Storm.
