Sketch #27: Ambient guitar w/ Feedback and faux-shimmer

LISTEN to my music here: GROW YOUR AUDIENCE AND IMPROVE YOUR SONGWRITING with my weekly tips for musicians: I PROMISE you that I don’t have any shimmer or octave-up delay effect on. The only octave effect I’m using is the Micro POG... I think what’s happening is that the guitar is feeding back and causing that sound somehow. Anyways, here’s what’s on my pedalboard. Pedals with the * next to it are actually used in this video. Diamond Compressor * Boss TU-3 EHX Micro POG * Walrus Audio Voyager Walrus Audio Mayflower * Fulltone Supa-Trem Goodrich L-120 volume * MXR Carbon Copy * EHX Deluxe Memory Man w/ Tap Tempo Strymon El Capistan * Strymon Timeline * Neunaber Stereo Wet Reverb * Strymon blueSky I’m playing my Gretsch Country Classic Jr into a Matchless Clubman and Chieftain. Just one SM57 on each amp, into a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56, recorded into Logic Pro. I didn’t do any EQ or anything on the tracks, just a limiter to bring the levels up. Video is recorded with a Nikon D5100 and edited with Final Cut Pro.
