Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev attended the opening ceremony of the New Suez Canal in Ismailia, Thursday. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived at the event on board the El-Mahrous yacht which was the first ship to pass through the canal in 1869.
