Large Golden Chain Coffee Table

Again a large piece of freeform furniture, what I like to do the most. This time a massive stump from a Golden Chain tree (laburnum anagyroides) which never fails me with it’s stunning contrast in core and sapwood. This stump was completely hollow and rotten trough, just on the edge of it being usable. I cut out all the rotten parts, chased the bugs out (MY WOOD!), enhanced the outer shapes a bit for max contrast and added a (used) large oval plate of hardened glass on top. With the added base it quit
