Ahle - ’Ich ruf zu dir’ & ’Vater unser’ - Engler organ, Krzeszow, Hauptwerk

00:00 Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ 02:19 Vater unser im Himmelreich Johann Rudolph Ahle was a German composer, organist and theorist. Much of Ahle’s compositional output consists of sacred choral and vocal works, instrumental music and organ music. He is best known for his Neu-gepflanzte Thüringische Lust-Garten, a collection of motets and sacred concertos. Through this collection I got to know him, thanks to a beautiful recording of Bach Collegium Japan. You can listen to a concerto of this collection here: A beautiful example of early baroque music with these early cornetti and tromboni. At first sight I thought ’Vater unser’ was meant for one manual. But after trying different things I decided to go for the ’trio variant’.
