Creating A Water Tank Pond with Carnivorous Rock Gardens / Homegrown Garden

I’ve been wanting to start this new pond project for some time and I’m so excited to finally build and share it with you from start to finish! There’s a lot going on here, but see the chapters below if you need to. In this video you’ll see how I convert and seal an old galvanised water tank into a pond feature complete with pond plants, carnivorous plants and bubbles! You’ll also see how I create my ‘rock gardens’ inspired by those of Sarracenia Northwest. Remember I have no electricity on the allotment so the pond doesn’t have any fancy filtration or pumps, just a basic solar aerator and plenty of plants to keep the water healthy. Enjoy! Let me know what you think. 00:00 Intro 01:30 Tank & Water Prep 06:40 Creating Carnivorous Rock Gardens 12:36 The Pond Plants 16:30 Landscaping and Planting 19:02 Adding the Areator 21:54 Final Look - SPECIAL MENTIONS - Sarracenia Northwest - - SUPPLIES - Lincolnshire Pond Plants - Bardills Fish Department - Pond Sealer is called ’Better Choice’ or G4 would also work Tank - Second hand via marketplace Lava Rocks & Driftwood - Pro Shrimp Areator - Silicone - - SUPPORT - If you found this video useful please making a small donation to support my channel. ☕ Buy Me a Cuppa - 🎁 Paypal Link - - SOCIAL - Instagram -
