28 июня 1941 года около части немецкой 20-й танковой дивизии ворвались в Минск с северо-запада. Две дивизии 44-го стрелкового корпуса остались удерживать позиции западнее Минска, в то время как 2-й стрелковый корпус отошёл восточнее Минска на рубеж реки Волма. В результате охватов немецких 2-й и 3-й танковой групп в Налибокской пуще оказались окружены остатки 3-й, 10-й и части 13-й и 4-й армий. К 8 июля бои в Минском «котле» были завершены. P.S.
