LORE - TMNT Turtles In Time Lore in a Minute!
Long ago, in an ancient time known as “the 1980s,“ four everyday turtles were dropped into a sewer grate by a young boy with a poor sense of balance and poor taste in pets--totally kidding. Down in the absurdly spacious sewer tunnels below New York City, the four reptiles wandered into a discarded barrel of toxic ooze, which mutated them into sentient bipeds. There they are discovered by Splinter, a recently ex-human martial arts badass who was also exposed to the ooze and mutated into a rat-man. Master Splinter, deciding that he can’t just let the poor guys grow up orphans amongst the sewer crocs and the poo gas, takes them under his metaphorical wing, bequeaths upon them the names of four Renaissance artists (Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo), and trains the four shellheads in the art of the ninja, transforming them into the titular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Together the four of them defend the city from evil, usually from their nemesis, the Shredder.
One day, the Shredder hatches an evil scheme; with the help of Krang--a creature from Dimension X who can be most accurately described by spitting out your chewing gum and imagining it with a face--the Shredder steals the Statue of Liberty! The turtles, of course, will not stand for this and head out to stop the Shredder’s plan to use the statue for... something. However, before they can stop him, the Shredder sucks the four brothers into a time warp! In order to get back to the present and save the city from becoming permanently statue-less, the turtles must battle their way through hordes of pirates, cowboys, ninjas, robots, pirate cowboy ninja robots, and dinosaurs.
