Distant Horizons 2.0: Exploration Survival Series Ep. 1

Hey guys! This is my first video! I decided to make a Survival Series with reterraforged and distant horizons because I haven’t seen anyone doing a survival series and I wished that was a thing, so I decided to do it myself! Here are the mods I am using: Reterraforged Distant Horizons 2.0 Bliss Shaders Shaderpack Fresh Animations Resource Pack Dynamic Surroundings (for wind and sounds) Presence Footsteps Farsighted Mobs First Person Mod Guard Villagers Nyf’s Spiders Villager Names Entity Model Features Entity Texture Features Zoomify Traveller’s Titles Shout out to RayTraceForge on YouTube and TheHorizonCraft on Instagram for their cool videos. Flow State inspired me to make a survival world. You can find this world by searching “Minecraft Kingdom reterraforge download“ on YouTube. Thank you Minecraft Kingdom for making this series possible! Here is the music in this video: Ignore this is for YouTube algorithm -------- What’s up guys, it’s nubby. It has been a long time since I’ve made a YouTube video, probably like 10 years. Today, we’re doing a Let’s Play in a survival world using the Distant Horizons mod. We are focusing on mods that make it feel like Minecraft 2, the kind of mods Mojang would add Exploration and Nostalgia This series is for those who wish there was a Minecraft survival series with Distant Horizons. It’s inspired by Flow State, who made a cool survival series but only lasted one or two episodes Reason for the Series I wanted to make this series because I’ve seen a lot of hype around Distant Horizons online, but I haven’t seen anyone doing a Let’s Play of it as a survival series. I’ve only seen showcases. The only Let’s Play I found was by Flow State, but he stopped after a couple of episodes. So I figured, that’s why I’m going to do it Distant Horizons is a mod that lets you see further using LODs. If you don’t know what an LOD is, it stands for Level of Detail, which adjusts the detail of distant objects to improve performance Flow State inspired me to make this, and I also want to make a channel like that. I want to make this series about Minecraft and these cool mods, but also about growth mindset and making your life better. I’ll talk about a topic from psychology in each video, like positive mindset, eating healthier, or going to the gym. Mindset and Fixed Mindset: Psychology and Life Improvement: I’ll talk about Minecraft and life, psychology, and self-improvement topics, like positivity and starting a business When I started my own business, the fear of taking the plunge was harder than actually doing it. Mindset can be a bigger obstacle than reality. re terra forged mods mod with shaders and Distant Horizons makes Minecraft feel like I was inspired by Flow State, who does cool videos about positive mindset and making your life better. I’m a small business owner, so I’m huge on challenging myself and achieving long-term goals Shout out to RayTraceForge on YouTube and HorizonCraft on Instagram for their cool videos. Flow State inspired me to make a survival world. Developer Appreciation: I want to mention James Seibel, the developer of Distant Horizons. It’s a huge deal that he made LODs work in Minecraft, which many thought was impossible. His mindset and determination are inspiring. I’m excited about Distant Horizons and other cool generation mods. It feels like playing Skyrim in Minecraft. It’s one of the coolest mods of all time. Modders and Passion Projects: Many modders create mods as passion projects. They’re not getting paid and often don’t code in Java, the language of Minecraft Java Edition. It’s cool that they make what they wish existed. I plan on a nomadic experience exploring the world. I’ve never beat the Ender Dragon, so that’s a long-term goal. I’ll add mods that make Minecraft feel like a sequel. I have ADHD, so I have a problem starting worlds and not finishing them. I’ve never beaten the Ender Dragon and don’t know how, but it’s one of my goals. My favorite games include Skyrim, The Last of Us, and DayZ. I’m learning computer programming for fun, which is why I bring up developers. Modding and Minecraft’s Popularity: I’ve always been worried Minecraft would die off, but the modding community has helped it stay around. I make mod packs with vanilla-friendly mods. Google Trends and PewDiePie: I was worried about Minecraft’s popularity and saw a peak in 2019-2020 due to PewDiePie’s series. It was fun watching someone experience Minecraft for the first time. Conclusion: This series is for those who want a Minecraft survival series with Distant Horizons. I’ll talk about Minecraft, life, psychology, and self-improvement. Thank you for watching and supporting the series.
