Andrey Novozhilov — The Last Before Falling: Shitkha Pragandzha (full album, 2014)

Another retrospective post dedicated to my earliest work is also the last, because after that I temporarily stopped doing housework with noise and related experiments. It is clear that for me these memories are in some sense traumatic and that is probably why I can say almost nothing. Here, perhaps, we should start with the name. Once again, leafing through the Sanskrit dictionary, I was looking for something deep and beautiful there. Now I could be wrong, but I think it translates to “Liberated Spirit.“ And, as my subsequent works showed, this story of liberation is the most important in my work. I involuntarily ask myself the question: if I became free, where would music turn, would it even be in my life? Don’t know. As for the “method” of recording, everything here is the same as in the post about “How the Steel Was Melted”. Noises, a few simple melodies and that’s it. Honestly, this is the first time I’ve listened to this in its entirety in almost ten years. It seems to me that then I was as close as possible to becoming free. Cover: Anastasia Pirozhkova. It was released in a small edition on cassette by Sleeping Cats Records. support: Сбер: 2202202397755228 ETH: 0xb6Dda5C707EccF0BB09A0D2B830C1217055AA4c5 listen: TG: FB: VK: IG:
