In this episode, Aeneas and his people arrive in Sicily, where they are warmly received by the king. However, Juno sends the goddess Iris to incite the women and the elderly to burn part of the Trojan ships, wishing to remain on the island. Aeneas, following the instructions of his father’s spirit, departs with the remaining warriors and young men, finally arriving in Italy, where he understands that this is the land promised by the gods to found a great empire.
