Boris Johnson blasts Putin for ‘holding gun to Ukraine’ and threatens sanctions

BORIS Johnson tonight accused Vladimir Putin of “holding a gun“ to Ukraine’s head - and told him to step back from the brink of a brutal war. At a sobering press conference in Kiev, the PM vowed to hit Moscow with crippling sanctions “the moment the first Russian toe cap“ crosses the border. At the podium of the magnificent Mariinskyi Palace, Mr Johnson stood shoulder to shoulder with battle-ready President Volodymyr Zelensky following crisis talks.
