Heads of Saudi Arabia and Russia urge OPEC+ members to join oil cuts

This comes following a face-to-face meeting on Wednesday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during Putin’s rare one-day trip to the Middle East. They issued a joint statement that calls all OPEC-plus members to join the oil cuts to stabilize the market, for the good of the global economy. The meeting comes after a drop in oil prices, despite the OPEC-plus powers vowing for a further output cut.
