S. Korea sealed average of US$ 15 bil. in arms sales in 2022 and 2023

방산수출 2년간 150억 달러 달성 수출국 확대•무기체계 다변화 Korea raked in an annual average of 15 billion U.S. dollars in weapons exports over the past two years. According to Seoul’s Defense Ministry on this Wednesday the country’s arms sales this year amount to just below 14 billion U.S. dollars while last year. Korea secured a record 17-point-3 billion U.S. dollars. Regardless of the retreat in arms exports this year Korea saw its export markets expand in 2023 to 12 nations from 4. There has also been more diversity in terms of the types of weapons exported from 6 in 2022 to 12 this year.
