SLIM’s first images of the Moon

JAXA’s Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) was successfully inserted into lunar orbit on 25 December 2023, at 07:51 UTC (16:51 JST). SLIM orbit will be adjusted until mid-January for a planned landing on the Moon on 19 January 2024. Credit: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)
