The US Coast Guard Cutter Waesche arrives in San Diego with approximately 18,219 pounds of cocaine estimated to have a street value of $239 million. It had been operating off the coast of Central and South America in order to interrupt drug smuggling operations; including intercepting a ’self-propelled semi-submersible (SPSS)’.
