“Dark Eyes“ is a Russian song. Written by a Ukrainian poet and writer Yevhen Hrebinda. Music by Florian Hermann. First published in 1843. Used as the main theme for the TV mini-series “The Mystery of Natalie Wood“, a biopic about the actress Natalie Wood (1938-1981). “Dark Eyes“ also has been featured in various films, as follows: Wonder Bar (1934); My Man Godfrey (1936); On the Avenue (1937); Shall We Dance (1937); Never Give A Sucker An Even Break (1941); Dark Eyes (1987) ; and, Chocolat (2000).
