The original 4 was rather a big deal for Renault, with over 8m of the little things sold on five continents across three decades. And now it’s back, because Renault is cleverly plundering the back catalogue to give its new wave of affordable EVs the retro-design treatment. We’ve already had the 5 supermini, a new Twingo arrives in 2026, and the pair bookend this, the 4. Think of it as a dinky little crossover, to the 5 what the Renault Captur is to the Clio. Prices should start under £30k in the UK, the range is around 250 miles, and the personalisation options are plentiful.
