Yuri Slonov - Twilight (Slow Waltz)

Another beautiful waltz by Slonow (1906-1981), whose teacher was Alexandrow in Moscow. Apart from easy piano music he also wrote Operette and some orchestral works and more. Had to make really a lot of attempts for this one. Now that I haven’t had my piano for a week and “control listened“ the pre-recorded stuff, I definitely had time to analyse my playing in a critical way, which is surely a good thing to do. I would suggest everyone to do that, even a music professor said to me that she does this. Suddenly many things are annoying with a fresh ear! I’ll be open and say that the biggest problem I have is the flow, which is difficult to realize (in general) and almost impossible after 30 minutes first sight. Probably I’ll slightly shift the strategy and try to spend more time on the pieces, just to let them settle a bit. The score #song3 is again in the fourth book.
