Helmut Newton on Gear

Helmut Newton shooting Claudia Schiffer. He takes a moment to tell June, his wife, that the camera he’s working with is completely automatic and that his job is simply pressing the button. He tells the camera the picture is all in the head, vision far outweighs gear, and that is something that was true during the 1990’s when he was shooting, but it’s something even truer today. People have to stop buying gear, and think more about the content of their picture.
