Eartheater – Faith Consuming Hope

Official video for “Faith Consuming Hope“ by Eartheater, from the album Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin, out on PAN. Stream and order on vinyl: “I stayed with nuns a lot while growing up, and it was while asleep in the monastery that I had a lot of dreams — some of which I remember being quite sexual and foreshadowing of a life and world I couldn’t even imagine — glimmers of a life very much like the one I inhabit now. I loved the nuns and the devotion and peace they showed me. I thought I might become a nun myself for a while. I helped take care of the goats and painted egg tempera icons. I remember, while working, I could feel a cheeky and powerful pull growing inside me. I followed that lust, without fear of failure or misunderstanding, towards my own divinity undefined by any dogma and I can only describe that feeling as having faith.“ – Eartheater Director: Elliott Power Cinematographer: Deepa Keshvala Executive Producer: Daniel Wol
