Recorded Live at The Tampa bay Blues Festival April 10, 2022 in St. Petersburg, Florida Since 1995 , the Tampa Bay Blues Festival has had the privilege of presenting some of the world’s finest blues music on the scenic shores of Tampa Bay. Artists like Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Boz Scaggs, Koko Taylor, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Taj Mahal and more have gifted us with their music. The award-winning festival has also showcased some of Florida’s best blues talent, including the area’s longest running blues group - the Backtrack Blues Band. On “A Day By The Bay“ this live recording and film captures the Backtrack Blues Band’s festival show from April 10, 2022. It’s a set of energetic, honest, original blues music that’s evolved over the band’s impressive 42 year tenure. With Sonny Charles on harp and vocals, Kid Royal on lead guitar , Wayne Sharp on B3 organ, the Backtrack Angels singing backup, and a rock solid rhythm section, this recording captures an exciting performance from musicians who have loved and valued the deep roots of our glorious blues tradition.
