Use SALT to create a Beautiful Loose Watercolour painting, Autumn Grasses, watercolor demo
Today’s demo is for a loose Autumn grasses scene, using wet in wet technique, and salt to create lovely flower & seedhead patterns across the painting, unpredictable and very exciting. Why not give it a try, and use any colours you like, I used Cotman ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, raw sienna and burnt umber.
I used ordinary fine table salt, various brushes that I found online, but use any brushes you are comfortable with. My board is at an angle of about 45 degrees tilt.
My paper is 100% cotton Saunders Waterford, cold pressed, 11“ x 15“/28cm x 38cm. Thanks for watching, and happy painting!
