Is Dugin Fascist, Neo Marxist, or What? | Stephen Hicks at the Museum of the Second WW

Alexander Dugin claims that Fascism and Communism are dead—and that Liberalism is evil. So a fourth political theory is needed for Russia’s future. What alternative does he propose? And is it really a fourth alternative—or a re-packaging of old illiberal ideas? Pr. Hicks reviews the ideas of Alexander Dugin, taking care to discuss their development over time in such works as “Fascism-Borderless and Red“(1997) and “The Fourth Political Theory“(2009). This talk was given at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk, Poland on December 15, 2022. Stephen R. C. Hicks, Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy at Rockford University, USA, and has had visiting positions at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., University of Kasimir the Great in Poland, Oxford University’s Harris Manchester College in England, and Jagiellonian University in Poland.
