Flak 36 auf Selbstfahrlafette . 6/2 fire support in Greece in 1941
The . 6 or Sonderkraftfahrzeug 6 was a half-track vehicle used by the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War and was designed to be used as the prime mover for the leFH 18 howitzer.
The . 6/2 variant was armed with a Flak 36 anti-aircraft autocannon on the bed with walls that folded down to allow the gun crew consisting of three loaders and two gunners to operate the weapon. The left and rear walls of the first vehicle visible can be seen in the folded down position.
Just over 200 such conversions were made for Luftwaffe service between 1939 and 1941 and apart from their nominal role as mobile protection from enemy aircraft, they would also serve well against ground targets. When firing Pzgr Patr 18 armor piercing shells the Flak 36 could penetrate around 35mm of armor at a range of 500 meters, giving it the ability to defeat lighter tanks such as the British Crusader series or Soviet BT series, although there was no protection for the crew in action even a
