Flats Boat Build 092622 - Fiberglassing Gussets,Chines, and Stitching with glue the Hull Sides

I’VE NEVER BUILT A BOAT BEFORE, but we are making a wooden boat! I always seem to start with that. So, this playlist will document the journey of DIY building a homemade boat. It’s an 18’ flats boat from a pattern and set of plans using marine plywood (meranti), scarfing, epoxy, thickened epoxy fillets, and fiberglass as part of the stitch and glue process. I welcome any questions or comments and will do all I can to interact as much as possible. It’s bound to be entertaining since this is my first foray into wooden boat building. This is a pretty complex plywood project that involves tracing the patterns on plywood, then cutting them and assembling using epoxy and fiberglass traditional boatbuilding techniques. But it’s a plywood boat build and we are indeed building a boat from scratch. I’ve done woodworking projects, but never something like this.
