.22 LR Tracers - Handgun Shooting

Shooting the Piney Mountain .22 LR tracers using a Ruger SR22 handgun, 3.5“ barrel. Trying to determine if these will “light up“, or if they can only be used in a rifle. My steel targets in the backyard were on the receiving end of these shots, distances up to 30 yards.
