INFO: As stated in the start of the video, this is a revamped version of my 2021 New Years Video Mix. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and I wanna do it for other mixes I’ve made before as well, but I don’t wanna do a revamped mix as a new years mix special, y’know? WHAT I DID: I wanted to really show 1997’s style as prevalent as possible, and not just show what I like the most. 1997 Billie Jean performances have a lot of different elements visually compared to previous tours, and I really wanted to highlight those elements with three video mix. With the audio I used the Munich multitracks and isolated stems from other shows. 90% of 1997 shows have absolutely fantastic vocals, so I wanted to include that in the mix. I also mixed the instrumentation to be similar to late 1997 as that’s the most stylistic sound from all months of the tour during 1997.
