Making a viking bearded hatchet from start to finish with steel from railroad track and damascus. Traditional wrapped and forge-welded eye construction.
Steel from the railroad track I have is hardanable, handle is made of elm wood.
1095 and 15n20 damascus piece made and kindly provided by my friend @Sperber- Knives
I am aware this is far from perfect, it’s the first time I try anything like this.
