Optimistic Pessimist Candor’s debut album ’Optimistic Pessimist’ was released on December 2nd, 2022 and expands upon the themes introduced by the three singles released prior to the album. Co-founders Reece Smith and Hadrien Fregnac explore the nature of progression rock/ metal whilst keeping the music contemporary. Although the songs are of an complex and unusual nature you are not bombarded with musical information. The album explores themes of someone who is in a negative environment be it literally or around people who aren’t supportive or are miserable. Whilst they have hopes and dreams that despite all of the above they persist to follow their passions. These people are Optimistic Pessimists.
