The Amsterdam City Card is the most convenient package ticket, including the use of all types of public transport, bicycle rental, an hour—long canal cruise, visits to museums (including the Rijksmuseum and EYE Filmmuseum) and other attractions. To activate the card, you need to download the I am Amsterdam City Card application. The card is available for 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours. The cards are purchased in red shops with a City Card sign.
Free ferry routes provide connections from the center across the strait to the northern part of Amsterdam. The ferry is accessible to mopeds, bicycles and pedestrians. Each ferry station is equipped with a scoreboard with the arrival time of the next vessel.
