My name is Irina Lyamshina. In this video you’ll see how I paint gzhel using an acrylic paint and a flat brush with an oval edge. First of all I want to say a few words about Gzhel. It is painted with cobalt salts. The main feature of the painting is the using shades of a blue only. This is a complicated process. Gzhel is fired in kilns at high temperatures.
