Motherland in Crysis

Proof of concept video for using advanced game technology for film production. This video is a demonstration of the potential of real-time rendering for film previz, mattepaintings, set extensions and architectural visualization using CRYENGINE2, the engine that powers the game CRYSIS. Art and assets were built for the shortfilm MOTHERLAND, they were modeled in Autodesk Maya and exported into CRYENGINE2 for lighting, shading and real-time rendering. Everything in the video is real-time, no additional compositing was done with the image. Capturing was done using Intel QuadCore and Nvidia GTX260 @1920x1080@25fps Video was featured at Siggraph ’08 Intel Tech Talk about convergence of game and film technologies.
