Confession of a 15 year-old killer

Alyssa Bustamante was brought in for an interview with Sergeant David Rice of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, after her 9 year old neighbour was reported missing. Police found that Alyssa’s 6-year-old half-sister was the last person to see the missing girl, leading them straight to the Bustamante household. In their search of the Bustamante family home, police uncovered a diary in Alyssa’s room containing a scribbled-out diary entry, with the only words visible being ‘slit’ and ‘throat’.
