’ve loved Makaton’s output since I first heard his early releases on his Rodz-Konez label back in 2000. He seemed to be pushing into even darker and murkier sonic territories than his other Midlands contemporaries (Regis, Suregon et al.) He’s gone on to collaborate with many of my favourite Techno producers and even now there’s no sign of his letting up and giving up the ’dark’ side.
