Apocalyptica Plays Metallica By Four Cellos Tour They are a Finnish cello metal band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 1993 In 1996, Apocalyptica released their debut album “Plays Metallica by Four Cellos” which consisted solely of Metallica covers played on cellos. Current members Eicca Toppinen – lead cello, keyboards (1993–present) Paavo Lötjönen – lead cello (1993–present) Perttu Kivilaakso – rhythm cello (1995, 1999–present) Mikko Sirén – drums, keyboards, double bass (2003–present)
