CaraNua is a Gaelic word that means “New Friend” and is a singing group comprised of Alex Sharpe, Lynn Hilary and Edel Murphy. Each of its singers have had lead singer roles in Celtic Woman and Riverdance and have toured extensively throughout the world. ~~~~~~~ This video is a result of an incredible two week journey that brought us from Dublin, Ireland to Utah in January 2018 to record songs for our debut album and to perform a concert in Ogden, Utah with pianist Jason Tonioli and violinist John Knudson. On our 3rd to last day of our Utah trip, and thanks to our new friend Jaren Tolman, we had the opportunity to meet Ken Bretschneider and tour an incredible facility called Evermore. () Evermore is a first of its kind interactive Fantasy Amusement/Theme Park that will be opening in Pleasant Grove, Utah in the summer of 2018. As Ken shared his vision for the park, we felt like we had walked into a world similar to what Walt Disney created years ago when he was building Disneyland. We were completely overwhelmed by our experience and inspired by the vision that Ken shared with us. On our final day at the recording studio, we were able to wrap up all of our projects by about 8:00 PM. While eating a late, final dinner at the studio, we decided as a team that we wanted to try and record one last song that we thought captured the vision that Ken had shared with us a few days earlier. We LOVE the song “A Million Dreams” from the movie “The Greatest Showman” and we felt like the lyrics captured how dreamers often feel when they take on an incredibly difficult project that many people think might be crazy. We started arranging the vocals for the song at about 8:30 PM and started recording around 10:30 PM. While we were working on the arrangement, our team started setting up lights and a set for us to record a music video on. As soon as we finished the vocals we were able to record both the video and song. We were completely exhausted but just after 3:00 AM, we recorded the entire music video and were able to be wrapped up by 5:00 AM, just in time to pack our bags and catch our 9 AM flight back to Dublin. :) We dedicate this video to Ken, the team at Evermore and the dreamer in each of us who we hope can be brave enough to do what it takes to make dreams into reality.
