The song Häggsjön from the album Händelser i Nord is the true story about a tragical drowning accident in the west of Jamtland, Sweden, a few days before midsummer, in 1883. Two young girls decided to take an old rowing-boat out on the lake. A third girl stayed at the shore. From the shore she saw the boat drift away, into deeper waters, where it took in water and began to sink. She ran all the way back to their home village, but when help finally arrived it was too late. Only a few days later, on midsummer’s day, the funeral of the two girls took place in the village church.
