Stone(d) Flute is an anomaly in the otherwise groovy lounge friendly output of Mr Mann. It has this constant ethereal quality to it that puts it more in the realm of ambient or cosmic rather than jazz. Perfect for mellow psychedelic rituals right? It’s definitely one of his best albums.
