January 26, 1974 ABC Wide World of Sports As a build-up for their rematch, Howard Cosell sits down with Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier to review their first fight from 1971. Tension builds and eventually erupts. The day after the studio brawl the New York State Athletic Commission fined both Ali and Frazier $5,000 a piece. Two day later Ali would avenge his first career loss as he won the rematch with a 12-round unanimous decision over Frazier.
