Elmo The Blackbird: How I Became Friends With Him

Elmo is a Red-Winged Blackbird I met in the Winter of 2022. I think he migrated back a little too soon, and he was likely very hungry. I just used some intuitive guidance, and offered him food. After that, he had a strong connection, and would fly to me whenever I visited. Elsie, his daugher, is a female red-winged blackbird (she looks like a different species, but the females look very different from the males, even though it’s the same type of bird). For a few of our date nights, we visited Elmo, and helped him feed Elsie.
