Suez Canal Container Ship CMA CGM Chopin

Transit of the Suez Canal July 2009 as passengers on the CMA CGM Chopin 73,000 ton container ship from Fos Sur Mer (near Marseilles, France) to Chiwan (China). This video taken at 0605 am showing an early morning haze which cleared soon after. Arrived at the Mediteranean end of the canal at 0400 and we were the first ship (being the largest) in a convoy of eight. We cleared the southern end of the canal at approximately 1530 and entered the Red Sea bound for Djibouti in French Somalia.
