Written during the lockdown in 2020, ‘Empire of Fear’ is inspired by the dilemma of wanting to stay updated with the tragedies of the world on daily news and the turmoil in one’s personal life, while wanting to detach from it, for the sake of sanity, at the same time. The song is about being a dreamer in this world where cold facts and tragic worldly situations are constantly making it hard to be one.
