India Canada Tensions: US Urges India to Cooperate with Over Nijjar Case
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said on Tuesday (October 15, 2024) that the Biden administration wants to see India cooperate with Canada in its investigation.
This comes after India expelled six Canadian diplomats posted in India.
New Delhi has termed the allegations levied by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as “absurd“.
India has also accused the Canadian government of providing space to violent extremists and terrorists.
India claims Canada has disregarded multiple extradition requests
for terrorists and organised crime leaders living in Canada.
