In 1976 Jayananda Prabhu called me and said he could get a marching band for the San Francisco Ratha Yatra festival. He wanted to know what would it take to get the music for the Hare Krishna march from the Festival album we made at Golden Avatar? So I told him we needed to know what instruments were available. He sent a list, David Stout wrote out the charts by hand and we were off to the festival. Hare Krishna!
