President Biden’s Intimate Embrace with Pope Francis at the G7 Summit “And his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” Revelation 13:3. For centuries, Rome lay in bandages, helpless and suffering from a fatal wound. Look at the papacy today; it is far from being in a critical state due to its health condition. No one today would describe the papacy as dead and helpless. Obviously, the wound is being treated, washed, and dressed. Rome is unquestionably on the road to recovery, and soon it will be completely healed. Bible prophecy says that the deadly wound will be healed by the strongest of all nations, the United States. It is quite disconcerting to see the warm, head-to-head embrace that Pope Francis and President Joe Biden shared today. It was an expression of affection, comfort, connection, and love. It was a scene of warmth and emotional closeness between the two beasts of Revelation 13. Pay close attention: We are told clearly that the second beast, the United States, will talk like a dragon and “exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed (Revelation 13:12).” Here, incidentally, we have a time reference. The dragon-like activity of the United States is to follow the healing of the deadly Catholic wound. This means that before the Mark of the Beast crisis, the papacy must be weaned back to good health. The Bible declares that under the influence of sinister forces, government leaders will yield to the rule of Rome, will repudiate the principles of liberty upon which their nations were founded, will enact religious laws, and will treat conscientious dissenters as traitors, even attempting such extreme measures as enforcing a death penalty. “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” Revelation 17:12, 13. “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Revelation 13:15. “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:17. This is the dream that is being realized right before our eyes. The ancient and medieval popes could only dream of Rome being restored as the world’s most important superpower. Under the soon-coming reign of Antichrist, no one will be allowed to undermine the papacy’s authority, power, and prestige. The entire world will submit to her authority, including every nation and religious organization. “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” Revelation 17:18.
