Views Of Earth and the Seasons From A Million Miles Away - DSCOVR & EPIC

It’s been months since DSCOVR stopped sending out regular images of the Earth, from the L1 point between the Earth and the Sun. At this point the prospects for recovery seem remote so I took the data we have and compiled some cleaned up animations showing views of the Earth from the space. The video shows how the viewpoint changes through the year as the Earth orbits the sun and the spacecraft librates around the Lagrange point. Code for warping images is here:
