Played by: Azul Fria Gradius (known in other places as Nemesis) is the first game in a series that includes Salamander, Parodius, and plenty of other related spinoffs. There are also claims by Konami that Scramble is part of the series and it precedes Gradius but I may or may not take their word for it.
