One Step Closer to the Fight - USS Carl Vinson Leaves Dry Dock
BREMERTON, Wash. (April 6, 2020) Dry Dock 6 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility is flooded, ending a year-long dry docking for Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson completed the dry-docked portion of a scheduled docking planned incremental availability (DPIA) and will complete the rest of the availability floating pier side in Bremerton, Wash.
