M4.7 class solar flare - Eruption on sunspot 1476 (May 9, 2012) - SDO AIA 304

Soundtrack : Buzzer Bomb (Igor Dvorkin, Duncan Pittock) The active region 1476 is causing a solar flare of class M4.7 that just happened this May 9, 2012 around 12:00 UT. This eruption was short lived and does not seem to have caused a large coronal mass ejection (CME). However it will be directed toward Earth and will reach within 2 or 3 days. This sunspot complex (βγδ) is relatively large and will be near the center of the Sun on May 11, 2012. It should therefore monitor this sunspot because it is still
